When will I be charged?
Understand how Scrummy's billing works.
Billing Cycles
Monthly billing
- Charged every 30 days from subscription start
- Example: Subscribe Jan 15 → charged Feb 15, Mar 15, etc.
Annual billing (20% discount)
- Charged once per year on subscription anniversary
- Example: Subscribe Jan 15, 2024 → charged Jan 15, 2025
Initial Payment
You're charged immediately when you:
- Upgrade from Free to Startup or Pro
- Start a new subscription
- Re-subscribe after canceling
Renewal Charges
Your subscription automatically renews. Email reminders sent:
- 7 days before renewal
- 1 day before renewal
- Day of renewal (receipt)
Failed payments

Mid-Cycle Changes
Adding seats
Prorated charge for remaining days in cycle.
Removing seats
No refund - seat charge stops at next renewal.
Upgrading plan
Prorated charge for plan difference, features activate immediately.
Downgrading plan
No refund - downgrade takes effect at next renewal.
Seat-Based Billing

Example
Startup plan with 20 members:
- Base: $25/month
- Extra 5 seats: 5 × $5 = $25/month
- Total: $50/month
