Jira Integration

Connect your Jira instance to Scrummy for automatic sprint data import, velocity tracking, and blocker sync.

Prerequisites

  • A Jira Cloud account with admin access
  • A Scrummy account on the Startup or Pro plan
  • Admin or Owner role in your Scrummy workspace

Setting Up the Integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Find Jira and click Connect
  3. You will be redirected to Atlassian to authorize Scrummy
  4. Grant the requested permissions
  5. Select your Jira site and project
  6. Click Save

Features

Sprint Data Import

Your Jira sprints are automatically imported into Scrummy:

  • Sprint start and end dates
  • Issues assigned to the sprint
  • Story points and estimation data

Velocity Tracking

Track your team's velocity over time:

  • View velocity trends across sprints
  • Compare estimated vs completed story points
  • Use velocity data in retrospective discussions

Blocker Sync

Scrummy detects blockers from your Jira board:

  • Issues with Blocked or Impediment flags surface in standups
  • Blocker context is available during retrospectives
  • At-risk items appear in your sprint health dashboard

Automatic Sprint Detection

Scrummy automatically detects your active Jira sprint:

  • No manual sprint creation needed
  • Sprint boundaries are synced from Jira
  • Historical sprint data is available for retrospectives

Sync Settings

Configure what gets synced:

Supported Jira Versions

  • Jira Cloud β€” fully supported
  • Jira Server / Data Center β€” not currently supported

Disconnecting

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect next to Jira
  3. Confirm the disconnection

Note: Disconnecting does not delete previously synced data.

Troubleshooting

Authorization Failed

  • Ensure you have admin access to the Jira project
  • Verify your Jira Cloud site URL is correct
  • Try clearing your browser cookies and reconnecting

Sprint Data Not Showing

  • Make sure the correct Jira project is selected
  • Verify there is an active sprint in the project
  • Check that issues are assigned to the sprint

Story Points Missing

  • Confirm your Jira project uses story point estimation
  • Check that the story points field is accessible via the API
